It's the final day of our 12 Days of Crafting Challenge, and I hope that we have inspired you to craft just a little bit this season. I know that I have definitely been feeling more crafty. Especially, when there are ornaments to be made.
Currently, I am in Canada, visiting my soon to be hubbie and there is a tree that needs decorating. So, I decided to go a little farmhouse chic and create these ornaments to hang on our tree using the houses from the Village Treat Boxes and the tree from the Christmas Cutouts Cutables.
I purchased the mini cloches and the jars from Amazon and then I did slight alterations to the SVG files to make the trees tall and narrow to fit them. And layered them up, along with the houses to to give them dimension and stability.
Paper Clay was used to build up the "countryside" and chunky glitter added to make it a winter wonderland. The layered trees and houses were added and set aside to dry.
Once dry, a bit more chunky glitter was added to the cloche and sealed in with glitter and hot glue.
Finally, a ribbon and embellishments were glued to the top. I think they look very chic and festive.
