Under the Sea

Under the Sea

Happy weekend all, it's Brenda here to show you some beauties from under the sea.  If you haven't seen the wonderful mermaid cards from Christine and Nancy be sure to check them out.  I've colored up another one of the girls from Be A Mermaid Digital stamps.

To create this card I printed the images on Copic friendly cardstock, colored them up with Copic markers and cut them out with a stitched circle die.  I fussy cut that cute little crabby and die cut some coral to add to the scene.  The blue background was achieved with craft chalk.  The background paper was embossed with an embossing folder.  All the layers of the scene were added as shown above and several water drops were added as well as the fun sentiment.

The next card was created using Doodled Shells Digistamps.  I loved this set when Alma brought it out originally as a now retired stamp set.  I love it colored with watercolors, but unfortunately my printer absolutely will not do even the thinner watercolor paper.  Instead I printed the images on kraft cardstock and colored them with Faber Castell metallic pencils.

I fussy cut the images and layered them and the black framed sentiment on the sea shell  embossed background.  A little vintage photo distress ink was added to enhance the embossing a bit.  The images were layered as show above.   Here's a little closer look.

These are the sets I have used today, I hope you'll give them a go yourself!
