I was loving the Inspiration Challenge Collage so much that I wanted to play. The pictures have such a great shabby chic quality about them. I LOVE shabby chic. Problem is, I can't do it. When others do it, it looks wonderful and simply elegant. When I do it, it looks messy.
So, here is my take on the Inspiration Collage. The dark ink is actually Versafine's Deep Lagoon, which is a teal color. Unfortunately, the picture doesn't do the color justice. To mimic the embossing of the Ball jars I embossed the flowers from Patterned Petals with their coordinating dies. It gives them an almost "pillow quality". My nod to the shabby "chicness" is the linen twine.
