Walking Home

Walking Home

It's the first Tuesday of the Month! That means that it's TCP Tuesday.
This month, the challenge is Fall. Nancy hasn't posted the challenge, yet, but I thought I'd sneak this card in before she posts.

When I think of Fall I think of home and back to school. I was a latchkey kid and at this time of the year, when Summer turned to Fall, I would walk home, swinging my book bag  and wonder if there would be enough light to play outside once my parents got home.
I would count each house as I passed. The Barratas lived in that Spanish looking house. (I could hear Tony practicing the piano.) The Dalys lived in the farmhouse type house, Hazel, the gothic house. The Schulzes and Mistos and then I was home. My house wasn't special. Just one of those houses that looked like the other. But, it was my home, and that was enough.

So, for this card I used the Balloon & Clouds Cutups and cut the clouds from Neenah Brilliant White. I pulled out the Special Delivery Stamp set and used Versamark Black to stamp the houses. Then I colored and masked the houses and sponged blue behind them
I created a top folding white base and sponged blue and yellow at the top and used the stitching from the Balloon & Clouds Cutups to mimic the clouds the houses sit on.
The ribbon and bow were added and the sentiment stamped on the Fancy Flip Frame and tucked behind the ribbon. Sequins were added for a little bit of sparkle.
Now, it's your turn. What do you think of when you think of Fall?
