Watercolor Smooshing

Christine Okken posted a "Just for Fun card" using our new stamp set, Bunnies in Flight, so I thought I'd take her cue and create a card, " just because"
For my card, I wanted to make a card using our New Spring Wreath CutUps Die. I really love the detail of this wreath and I think it looks spectacular. So, I knew that I wanted to create a background just as spectacular.

I've been playing around with a technique that I've seen on various other blogs, using acetate and water to apply color. I'm not sure what the technique is called, so I'm calling it Watercolor Smooshing, cause that is just what I did. I applied Marvy die inks to the acetate,  spritzed water from a mini mister and applied to watercolor paper. Then I added "splatters" using one of the stamps from our Watercolor Basics Stamp Set.  The sentiment is from our Simply Said Stamp Set. It's a set I turn to again and again.

Now, it's your turn. Add your card or project to the InLinkz link on our blog to join our Summer Blog Hop. You could win a $50 gift certificate.
