12 Days of Crafting - Day 12

12 Days of Crafting - Day 12

Can you believe it is already Day 12 of 12 Days of Crafting here at TCP. It's Jen today with some ornaments to help inspire your holiday crafting.

And they were unbelievably easy to make!  I have so many more ideas...

Simply Winter Ornament

It all started with a package of blank wood slices. Oh the possibilities.  My first plan was to use a Cutable.  I chose the Simply Winter SVG.  How cute is that little cardinal and I love the greenery that comes with him.  I tend to do all my die cutting in white and color the pieces.  Maybe it's because I find it way easier to just cut everything out of the same color, but I think it also is because I like the depth of the colors better after I color the white pieces.  These pieces were all colored with my Spectrum Noir Markers.  I love these holly leaves!  They were so easy to burnish and form into very realistic looking leaves.

But I had another idea.  What if I color up a digi and feature it on an ornament?

We3Snowman Ornament

So I printed and cut out all three of the We Three Snowmen Digi and I saved two for my kids to color.  They are looking forward to some craft time tomorrow.

I think this snowman is equally as fun as the cardinal--especially with some of that fabulous greenery tucked in behind him.  Some glitter highlights and some white snow falling behind were the finishing touches.

Now I have to decide if the back will be 2023 using Puffy Numbers Cutable or if I will use these as gift tags.  Like I said, there are so many possibilities!  What would you do?
