12 Days of Crafting - Day 8

12 Days of Crafting - Day 8

It's Brenda bringing you the challenge for day 8 of The Cat's Pajamas 12 Days of Crafting.  With the days whizzing past, I needed to create some little goodies for the neighbors or office friends, so that's your challenge for today.  I like having little  somethings around that will spread some Christmas cheer.
I have been wanting to make some of the Holiday Lollipop Holders, they are just so cute.  You will find Santa, Rudolf and Frosty all in the same Cutable.  Here's a closer look -

I made them using this video as my guide.  After  all the cutting was done, during assembly,  I decided to add an extra little something.  Remember all these snowflakes and holly clusters from  Snowflakes Cutables and Bunny Snowglobe digi?  Well, I put them to work today.

After I had the holders cut out and assembled, I decided to wrap a block of shipping styrofoam in holiday paper to display them.  The lollipop stick wasn't quite long enough, so I rummaged through my stuff and found these straws which worked perfectly.  I tied a bow around the foam block and ribbon around the straws and arranged them in the foam. Here they are all ready to bring joy.

I have one more little item to share with you.  I made so many tags  for the day 2 challenge I decided to put them in the Mini Pizza Box Cutables  for a friend or neighbor.

I cut and assembled the box  from textured cardstock.  The top was decorated by cutting 2 coordinating mats and some of the ornament from the Wonky Ornament Tags Cutables.   I layered everything as shown above along with a few die cut stars.  The ornaments were decorated with jewels and Stickles for a little shine.

The inside tags were created using Fancy Frames Cutables.  The base was cut from textured cardstock and the top was sized just a little smaller and cut from cover weight card.  To finish them off I used more of those holly clusters from  Bunny Snowglobe digi and created the berries with Nuvo Drops.

Now it's over to you!  I can't wait to see what you create! Each day we will present a different challenge and challenge you to play along by adding your projects to the inlinkz button at the bottom of the challenge. You’ll have until December 26 to play along.
